what is marriage to you?

This is the age when people around you start getting married.

This is the age when you keep getting the question “when are you getting married?”.

This is the age when you need to think what lies ahead of you.

Being together in a relationship for years doesn’t mean that you’ll eventually end up together as a married couple. Some people part even though they have been together for a decade. Some people break up even though they have made wedding plans. Some people break up right before the wedding. So, what exactly does a marriage symbolise?

Before I can find that answer, I wish people will stop asking me when I am getting married. It gets really annoying, especially when it’s clear that neither of us is ready for anything like that.
